NDIS Support Coordination Cost & Rates 2026–27
How much does NDIS Support Coordination cost? The answer depends on the funded level, the provider’s rate and the work actually required. Here is the current 2026–27 position in plain English.
The short answer
Support Coordination is normally charged by the hour from the Support Coordination funding in your NDIS plan. For the 2026–27 pricing year, the national NDIS price limits are $80.06 per hour for Level 1 Support Connection and $100.14 per hour for Level 2 Coordination of Supports. The NDIA's Annual Pricing Review also lists $190.54 per hour for Level 3 Specialist Support Coordination. TrueSide currently provides Level 1 and Level 2 only.
A price limit is a ceiling under the NDIS pricing rules, not an instruction that every provider must charge the maximum or that every participant should use the entire budget. What matters is the rate in your service agreement, what work is actually delivered, and whether the work fits the funded support.
TrueSide's current Support Coordination rates
| Support | TrueSide rate | 2026–27 national price limit |
|---|---|---|
| Level 1: Support Connection | $80.06/hr | $80.06/hr |
| Level 2: Coordination of Supports | $100.14/hr | $100.14/hr |
Rates and NDIS price limits can change. Check the current NDIS pricing documents and your service agreement before relying on a rate.
What are you actually paying for?
Not every billable hour is a face-to-face meeting. Coordination work can include reading and explaining a plan, researching providers, making calls, following up waitlists, comparing options, communicating with providers, reviewing service agreements, recording progress, preparing required information and working through barriers that are stopping supports from being implemented.
The useful question is not simply “how many hours will I get?” It is “what will the coordinator do with those hours, and how will I know the work is moving my plan forward?” Ask the provider to explain how they record time and what kinds of activities may be charged.
How much Support Coordination funding do I need?
There is no single dollar amount that suits everybody. A participant with a straightforward plan and a few stable providers may need much less coordination than someone implementing several new services, replacing providers, dealing with repeated gaps or approaching reassessment with substantial unresolved issues.
Your NDIS plan determines the funded amount. A coordinator should work within that budget, prioritise the tasks that matter most and tell you if the available funding is likely to run short. They should not treat the budget as a target that must be spent.
What should be clear before you sign?
The NDIA recommends talking to a Support Coordinator before signing and asking questions including how much they charge and what their cancellation policy is. Your service agreement should make the practical charging rules understandable before work begins.
- the hourly rate for the funded support;
- what activities may be billed;
- whether travel or other non-face-to-face work can be charged and in what circumstances;
- cancellation terms;
- how invoices or statements describe the work;
- how you can end or change the service.
Does plan management type change the price?
The funded support and applicable pricing rules do not become a different service merely because the plan is plan-managed or self-managed. What changes is the payment flow and who receives or pays invoices. TrueSide is currently unregistered, so our Support Coordination is available to plan-managed and self-managed participants within our scope. NDIA-managed supports require a registered provider.
Do Level 1 and Level 2 cost the same?
No. They are different funded supports with different national price limits. Level 1 Support Connection has the lower price limit; Level 2 Coordination of Supports has the higher price limit and can involve more active implementation and coordination. The correct rate should follow the support actually funded and delivered, not whichever item has the higher price.
For a deeper explanation of the difference, see Level 1 vs Level 2 Support Coordination.
Can I compare prices before choosing a coordinator?
Yes. You choose your Support Coordinator. The NDIA encourages participants to research options, talk to coordinators before signing and ask about price, experience, who they will actually work with and cancellation policy. Price matters, but so do responsiveness, independence, clarity and whether the coordinator can actually do the work your plan needs.
