FAQ

Common questions

Everything families and coordinators ask, answered plainly.

Do you work with plan-managed and self-managed participants?

Yes, both. Invoices go to your plan manager with correct NDIS item codes and 2026-27 rates, or directly to you if self-managed (7-day terms). We're not currently registered for NDIA-managed participants.

What does the first meeting cost?

Nothing. The meet-and-greet is free, at your home, and carries no obligation.

Which suburbs do you cover?

Greater Dandenong, Casey and Melbourne's south-east: Dandenong, Noble Park, Springvale, Keysborough, Hampton Park, Cranbourne, Berwick and surrounds.

Are evenings and weekends available?

Yes. Weekday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays are available, billed at standard NDIS rates for those times.

Do you speak Dari?

Yes, natively. Support can be delivered fully in Dari (also known as Farsi) or in English, whichever the participant prefers.

Is it the same worker every time?

Yes. TrueSide is founder-operated, so you receive the same trusted worker every shift.

What supports do you provide?

Core supports: assistance with self-care (daily living), community participation, household tasks and transport. Faith-aware support is available through our Hayat pathway.

What is out of scope?

We don't provide nursing or high-intensity clinical supports, behaviour support, restrictive practices, SIL, SDA or plan management. If your needs sit outside our scope, we'll say so honestly and help point you in the right direction.

How are your rates set?

At or below the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits 2026-27. All supports are GST-free. Self-managed participants may negotiate rates.

How do I make a complaint?

Tell us directly - by phone, text or email, in English or Dari. You can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544. Complaining never affects your supports.

Can my family be involved?

As much or as little as the participant wants. We're happy to explain everything to parents or siblings in English or Dari.

How do we start?

Call, text or send the enquiry form. We reply within one business day and offer a free meet and greet at your home within seven days.

Get started

One call. One worker. No run-around.

Looking for support, helping a loved one, or referring a participant? The meet & greet is free, at your home, with no obligation either way.

More questions

About TrueSide and how we work

Can I choose my own NDIS support worker?

Yes. With TrueSide, you meet your support worker at a free meet and greet before committing to anything. You decide if the fit is right. TrueSide is founder-operated, so Anosh is your regular worker for planned shifts, except unavoidable leave or emergencies. No rosters, no strangers.

Can family members be involved in support?

Absolutely. Many families in Melbourne's south-east prefer to be involved in the support process. TrueSide welcomes family involvement in planning, goal setting, and day-to-day routines. Support can be delivered in English or Dari (Farsi), making it easier for family members who prefer communicating in their first language.

Do you provide support in Dandenong, Noble Park, Springvale, Cranbourne and surrounding suburbs?

Yes. TrueSide covers Greater Dandenong and the City of Casey, including Dandenong, Noble Park, Springvale, Cranbourne, Keysborough, Hampton Park, Narre Warren, Berwick, and surrounding suburbs. Check our full service area list.

Do you work with support coordinators?

Yes. TrueSide welcomes referrals from support coordinators and plan managers. Referrals are acknowledged within one business day, and a free meet and greet is offered within seven days. Compliance documents are available same day on request. Visit our coordinator referral page for more details or to send a referral.

Do you provide transport assistance under the NDIS?

Yes. TrueSide provides door-to-door transport assistance in a registered, insured vehicle. This covers medical appointments, shopping, community activities, education, and anything else your plan supports. Billed at NDIS transport rates.

Do you provide NDIS support in Dari or Farsi?

Yes. Anosh is a native Dari (Farsi) speaker and delivers support in whichever language is most comfortable for the participant and their family. This is one of the most common reasons families and coordinators choose TrueSide. Learn more on our Dari-speaking support worker page.

Is there a Muslim NDIS support option?

Yes. TrueSide's Hayat pathway is designed for Muslim participants and culturally diverse families. Prayer times are factored into every shift, halal meals are the default when requested, and family involvement is understood and welcomed. Visit our Muslim NDIS support page for more.
